Ruby Rose is set to earn her prison stripes as the latest inmate of Litchfield Penitentiary, starring in the upcoming third series of Netflix hit Orange Is The New Black.
The shock announcement came via U.S Elle on Tuesday in which the 28-year-old Australia model and MTV VJ confirms she'll play one the show's newest inmates.
Dressed in a dramatic black floor length gown for the accompanying shoot the blurb reveals that beautiful Ruby is set to get hearts racing as the 'lust object' of former girlfriends Alex and Piper, played by Laura Prepon and Taylor Schilling, respectively.
The social media savvy starlet hinted at her character's name writing '#stellaishere' beside a post on her Instagram.
The budding actress will certainly garner plenty of attention as the show's two leads compete for her affection.
Sharing the article on her Facebook on Tuesday, the bisexual beauty wrote beside the image: 'Grab yourself a copy of U.S ELLE MAGAZINE and read about my new role on a small unheard of series called Orange Is The New Black.
'Haha I am very excited and honored to be named one of the Magazine's fresh faces on TV to watch in 2015.'
In June the U.S based media personality sparked rumours that she might be starring in hit dramady when she posted a shot of herself in handcuffs and a prison jumpsuit.
But the image was quickly dismissed as sending up the mugshot of smooth criminal Jeremy Meeks, as a thousand similar memes were spurned.
It seems like Ruby has been dropping subtle hints as to her new gig ever since.
In September she posted a shot of herself with various members of the cast, including Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Vicky Jeudy and Dascha Polanco, as she turned out to celebrate the birthday of Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee in the show.
A few weeks prior, Orange Is The New Black was clearly on her mind as she sent up the similarities between her fiance Phoebe Dahl and cast member Madeline Brewer, as Phoebe sported braids.
This will be the ASTRA winners first major acting coup, although she featured in film Around The Block starring alongside Christina Ricci, which received mix reviews.
The next series of the breakaway show, which follows the life of Piper Chapman and the inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary, is currently in production and is expected to have a release date of mid-2015.
Early spoilers reveal that fans, which include Barak Obama, will see Daya give birth to prison guard John Bennett's baby.
